Jobcentre Plus provides a service for people of working age. We give help and advice on jobs and training for people who can work and the right financial help for those who cannot.
Jobcentre Plus services can be accessed in a variety of ways including face to face at our network of Local Offices, telephone channels via our Contact Centres including Employer Direct and Jobseeker Direct and electronically via our Internet Sites. Please visit the Links below.
In delivering services we work with a range of partners in the public, private and voluntary sector who compliment the Jobcentre Plus service by providing information and advice about benefits, jobs and training.
Jobcentre Plus Programmes include Progress 2 Work, Pathways to Work, Programme Centre facilities, Work Based Learning for Adults (WBLA), Action Teams for Jobs and the New Deal range of tailored help and support. Initiatives that help customers choose the right job and ease their transition from benefits to a wage include Back to Work Bonus, Employment on Trial, Travel to Interview Scheme, Work Trials, Job Grant, Housing Benefit/ Mortgage Interest run on and access to New Tax Credits.
Programmes and Initiatives listed above are not exhaustive and do not run in all areas.
